Echo were approached by Generator UK to support them with the delivery of their annual Music Futures Conference. Now in its 5th year Music Futures is a forward thinking conference aimed at professionals working in the Music Industry.
The goals were to make the conference more sustainable and grow both the delegation and sponsorship support. The strengths of this event lie in its programme, the event has a reputation for attracting high end speakers and covering topics which matter to the industry in a frank and open arena.
How did we deliver?
Echo worked closely with Generator to deliver on the logistics, sponsorship sales and delegate management for the event. All delegate registrations were processed through Echo and communication on the run up to the event. Marketing was crucial to attract more delegates from across the UK, advertising was placed in key publications such as Music Week and regular marketing emails were sent to Generators database. Sponsorship sales were managed by Echo and through Generator’s contacts we managed to secure big brand sponsors including HMV, sponsorship revenue was tripled from the previous year.
Echo liaised with the Sage and their in-house AV team to organise the smooth running of the day. A picnic style lunch was provided to the delegates during the networking breaks and an informal relaxed set up was designed for the ‘fireside chats’ and panel sessions.
A lot of emphasis was put on networking with two drinks receptions, one the evening prior to the conference to welcome all the delegates and one after to wrap up the event. After the conference delegates went on to a live music event at the Cluny which was organised by Generator UK.
