Echo Events have successfully delivered the annual BACCN Conference for the last three years. The 2015 event was the International Conference and BACCN’s 30th year anniversary so the brief was to elevate the conference to new heights by making it the biggest and best BACCN conference to date.

How did we deliver?

As this was an International conference the BACCN wanted to run the event in London for the first time, so the Echo team set out to find a central London hotel within budget and that provided all the space required. We achieved all this and more at the Park Plaza Riverbank. To celebrate the 30 years in style we organised a James Bond themed conference dinner with an after party, casinos, cocktails and a special appearance from the man himself!

The conference took place across two days and included over 60 sessions split across 5 streams. The programme consisted of oral talks, electronic poster presentations and workshops. We also ran an interactive simulation lab which offered delegates the chance get hands on while testing their skills in real life scenarios. The exhibition hall consisted of 45 stands built in shell scheme. There was a variety of products and services on offer with lunch and refreshments served in among the stands. For the first time we introduced an Event App to encourage interaction both before and on the day. This was well received and is likely to become a permanent feature of the event.

The overall feedback was very positive and planning is already underway for the 2016 conference!
