Prior to Echo, Claire spent 8 years working in London for well-known brands such as Marketing Week & Retail Week magazines. She started her career at EMAP Plc where she organised conferences for a wide range of industries including retail, architecture, healthcare and local government. In 2008 she left EMAP and moved to the publishing house Centaur Media where she took on the role of Head of Events for Centaur’s marketing & creative portfolio. Leading the logistics team in their delivery of around thirty events a year including conferences, exclusive round table dinners and 121 summits. On her return to Newcastle Claire project managed the Behaviour Conference 2013 on behalf of Newcastle University which attracted over 900 delegates. The programme consisted of 600 speakers across 5 days and included a packed social programme. Since then Claire has gone on to project manage a number of Echo’s events and is responsible for the overall delivery of Echo’s events and new business. Claire is a full member of ABPCO (Association for Professional Conference Organisers).
